What did you eat yesterday?

Please take a few minutes to consider everything you ate from the moment you heard the jarring, dream ending, alarm clock ringing in the morning, to those first rhythmic breaths of sleep in the evening!

Did you go out for lunch? What about dinner? If so, how many days a week does that happen? When you are fairly certain that you’ve accounted for every single bite, add up the total financial cost for all the food you ate, throughout the day.

For most people, the true number averages between $25 – $50/day. Some of you may be surprised to find that this daily food expense would equal $775 – $1550/month, just on food.

Now, if that money were due on the 1st of the month, and not spent slowly (in $10 increments) throughout each day, it might feel more expensive. But $25-$50 per day is the true average food cost for the majority of the people we surveyed!

With that in mind, we recently asked some our previous challenge participants to answer a survey on “what could we have done better?”

While seeking out criticism can be hard to hear, it can also be extremely valuable. Both were true for us.

By far the most common response was with regard to “improving the nutritional component”. For the most part, everyone loved the workouts, coaching, and class environment. But many previous challenge participants seriously struggled when the class ended, and they were on their own. This was especially true while making food choices. The New You Challenge class only meets for 3 hours every week. Your decisions during the other 165 hours will be critical in determining the level of success you can hope to achieve!
You see, up until now, we’ve only offered a meal “plan”, with recipes (and guidelines) for healthy eating! While this was great for our most motivated challenge participants, for too many others, the results were unfortunately tempered by the poor food choices made while away from the motivation and accountability of the group!
The unfortunate fact of the matter is that it’s simply unrealistic to expect to achieve the “life-changing”, envy-producing, awe-inspiring, dramatic transformations (that most of our participants are seeking) without the COMBINED EFFECT of healthy eating ALONG WITH the hard work at the New You Challenge class.

The end results of all your efforts in our challenge class will be exponentially visible when that hard work is also combined with the right nutrition, allowing you to recover, rebuild, and repeat, with your best effort!

Sure, you can skip the meal plan component and see some changes. But to truly get the most out of this program, changing your food habits is essential! ​

According to our survey, when the meal plans failed, they did so because most people didn’t have the time (or energy) to follow it properly. In other words, having to go grocery shopping, cook, and then having to clean all the dishes (for each meal) after a full day’s work (and extremely sore from the previous workouts) would cause participants to “cheat” on their healthy meal plan.

The message was received! We needed to make the nutritional component more convenient!
