James was your typical kid growing up. He loved to play sports; soccer, football, baseball, basketball.. you name it and he was doing it. James continued his active lifestyle through high school and college and then, life set in. He slowly let his fitness go and one day realized just how out of shape he was. He was overweight and had high blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels. You know, the unwanted results of a standard American diet with little to no exercise.
James came across an ad for the New You Challenge is 2016 and decided to take back his life. He signed up for the challenge is September of 2016 and this little step drastically changed his life. James completely overhauled his nutrition and began exercising instead of couch surfing. The New You Challenge was the springboard to a whole new way of life, a life where he found the value of investing in himself. James not only successfully finished the challenge, but went on to become a member of the gym and eventually got his CrossFit Level 1 Certification. James is now the proud co-owner of Peak 180 Fitness and is currently working on getting his CrossFit Level 2 Certification. Peak 180 partnered with the New You Challenge and James is now leading the way for others to improve their lives through a healthier lifestyle.
